Grieving Process Daily Checklist
In the digital world, we would just update the software to run automatically no matter what it encounters. But you are NOT a robot, or a computer program. You are a living, breathing, feeling human being. You can’t program your internal systems to run smoothly in times of crisis, but you can go over this simple checklist and apply it in times of need.
What is your reason for getting out of bed today?
Have you brushed your teeth today?
Look around you. What is something that usually brings you happiness? Hold that memory for 60 seconds while breathing deep, steady breaths.
Is your body trying to communicate with you? What is it saying to you? Are you open to listening to, and honoring it today?
Are you staying hydrated? Staying hydrated helps ward off brain fog and fatigue
Have you eaten in the last 12-18 hours? If you aren’t feeling particularly hungry, would you be open to eating something for the texture? A bowl of your favorite canned soup? Crackers & cheese? Ice cream for the feeling of cold in your mouth? A smoothie for nutrients without a lot of effort required?
Have you checked in with yourself today to honor your emotions? Do you have someone you can call to talk to if you are feeling up to it? (1-800-273-8255 Suicide Prevention Hotline) (https://afsp.org/suicide-prevention-resources) You are never alone in this, unless you choose to be.
Have you asked your Guardian Angel, or the Archangel Azrael for help/guidance?
*Azrael is translated as “He who helps God”. He is charged with helping us through the death process, as well as the grieving process.
If you are unsure how to call on him, or your Guardian Angel, try saying this simple mantra 10 times and allowing energy to enter around you: “Thank you, Azrael, for your support and guidance in my time of grieving".” (Yes, it really is that simple)
You do not have to be from any particular background, or faith, in order to do this. You can be agnostic, or even atheist. If you are in need of support, the Spirit Guides are always available, and take pleasure in assisting us.
